Whipped feta dip

Whip up these feta dips in no time, and flavour them with what you have at home. In less than thirty minutes your dips are ready for your next party or to put in your picnic basket. The saltiness of the feta with the tart of the Greek yogurt and the smoothness of a cream cheese, this is the perfect combination to make a savoury dip. Serve with plain corn chips or unsalted water crackers.

Fillings to your whipped feta

Once you have the basic feta cheese mixture whipped up, you can add whichever fillings you have at hand. Cut the filling in smaller pieces, then whisk them with your electric whisk into the base mixture and you have a delicious dip. If you can’t think of anything, do the classic ones I have here with either black olives or sun-dried tomatoes, or why not add them both.

Salt

Depending on which fillings you have and the saltiness of your feta cheese, you might want to add more or less salt. Taste as your mixing for the perfect saltiness.

Consistency of your whipped feta

The consistency of the dip is up to you, depending what you are going to use it for. If you plan to spread it on a water cracker, then make it as according to the recipe and spread it with a knife. If you want more of a dip for your corn chips, then add more yogurt to make it more runny. For vegetable sticks, carrots, cucumber, celery, the recipe is perfect as it is.

To make the dip smoother, crumble the feta more before you whip it. This will result in a smoother dip and you do not need to whip it for as long.

For a more creamy dip, add more cream cheese and less Greek yogurt.

Substitutes

In the recipe card, I have suggested two options for the fillings in this whipped feta, however there are many more you can try depending on your flavour palate. Like it hot, try chopped jalapenos. Or jump on the hot honey trend and add honey and chili flakes to your dip.

Only your imagination will put a stop to what you can add.

Batch cooking tips

To save time, whip a big batch of the basic whipped feta recipe. Divide the batch into smaller batches before adding in your different flavours.
