Blue cheese stuffed hamburgers

These blue cheese stuffed hamburgers are seriously bold, juicy and indulgent. With its molten tangy centre, they take everything you love about a classic burger and dial it up without complicating dinner time.

Ingredients

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 180 g blue cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 5 brioche buns

Optional extra

  • Lettuce
  • Cucumber
  • Blue cheese dressing

Instructions

  • Take out 500 g minced meat and let it come to room temperature.
  • Chop 1 onion.
  • Mix the minced meat with the chopped onion and 1 egg.
  • Slice 180 g blue cheese in five equal pieces.
  • Form ten thin hamburger patties of 50g each.
  • Put one pieces of blue cheese on each hamburger patty and cover with mince meat.
  • Add 1 tbsp cooking oil to a hot pan and cook your hamburger patties for about five minutes on each side, press down with your spatula to make them flatter.
  • If you are unsure if they are cooked all the way through, put the patties in a hot oven for a few minutes.
  • Toast 5 brioche buns in a hot, dry pan.
  • Dress your blue cheese stuffed hamburger with any optional extras you like, such as Lettuce, Cucumber and Blue cheese dressing.
