A fun way to share a pizza with this delicious pull apart pizza recipe. Using wraps to cut down the construction time. Roll up the wraps with the filling, cut them in smaller chunks and start build your pull apart pizza. Top it all with shredded cheese, stick in the oven and you are ready to enjoy your pull apart pizza bread. Why not make it for your St Patrick’s Party today. It is that quick to make.
Method
This pull apart pizza is so easy to make and barely take any time. Using wraps means you don’t have to wait for the pizza dough to rise. You can just smear the tomato sauce straight on to the wraps and add any toppings you like. Mushroom and cheese are my favourites. Roll up the wrap, cut into smaller pieces, about 3cm, and place your pull apart pizza bread in your oven dish, cut side up. Once the oven dish is filled with your wrap rolls, shred the cheese and spread out on top. Then it is ready for the oven.
Using a spring form
My spring form has a cut-out in the middle, if you don’t have this kind of pan, that’s ok too. You can use any pie or cake tin that you have available. You might need some more wraps based on the size of your dish.
I find it easiest to use a spring form, when extracting the pull apart pizza bread, otherwise it might tear. Trust me I did this a couple of times before I went home and borrowed this form from my mum’s kitchen. I mean, the pizza is just as good torn, not by choice but by the form, but if you want to serve it to guests, you might want to make it as pretty as you can.
Toppings
My best tip when it comes to toppings is to not pick anything too bulky, that will make it difficult to roll the wraps.
The other tip is to not pick anything that holds too much water as it will make the wraps soggy. One way to make it less watery is to fry it first to get rid of as much water you can. When I use mushrooms for example, I always fry them and let them cool down before rolling them into the wraps.
Freezable
I have had different results when freezing this pull apart pizza, mostly the bread gets too soft when defrosting it, especially in the fridge. However, it is difficult to heat it straight from the freezer without burning the cheese. If you manage to find a way let me know in the comments below. I would love to be able to make this ahead of time and put in the freezer ready to take out at a moments notice.
