This is a quick and easy vinaigrette dressing that fits most types of salads. It is easy to make and keeps in the fridge in an airtight bottle for months.
Give the dressing a quick stir if it has been sitting for a while and it will feel like new.
I like to use this dressing on my basic pasta salad for a summer picnic. Or if there are a few salad leaves at the bottom of the bag that needs to eaten but does not look so appetizing, An enticing salad dressing will spruce up any old lettuce leaves.
Substitutes
If you do not have any balsamic vinegar at home, you can substitute it for red wine vinegar or white wine vinegar. You might have to adjust the amount you are using. I usually take about 1 1/2 tbsp of white vinegar to adjust the acid. But add 1/2 tbsp at the time and taste as you go.
